Merry Christmas Eve, my darling friends! Hope that Santa brings everything you wished for this year.
Nothing much new or exciting to post about, been emailing a few guys from match.com lately, which has lifted my spirits. One's a 24 yr old from Connecticut. I'm turning 27 soon (!), so would that make me a cougar? Oooh, I hope so! Another one, which KA laughed about, is a renaissance sword fighting aficionado-and he teaches it too. I'm praying he's not a LARPer, or Live Action Role Player, for those who didn't watch this season's Beauty and the Geek. It's been fun just emailing folks, even if it's not a romantic thing. I seem to have lost contact with a lot of my old friends, and sometimes it's lonely not being able to chat with them. But enough of my whining and reminiscing. It's Christmastime!

The Age Old Question
Sorry I've gone over a month without posting, girls and guy. I was getting good for awhile! Work has been really busy lately, and I'm having to juggle with a few projects before the holidays along with a few family Christmas card designs. Joy. But I can't complain that I don't have enough work, last year I was freaked out that I would end up flat broke on the side of the road. So this is a huge plus!
Anyway, moving on to that age old question: why is it that the guys you like don't like you back, and you don't like the ones that DO like you? Grr...so I'm on a few online dating sites right now, as well as my matchmaker, and still! No luck! Seriously folks, I'm wondering if this is God's way of telling me I should be a nun. Seriously. I don't really want to be, but I'm kinda running out of options here!
Some funny stories as of late: my matchmaker was able to find me a guy, we'll call him the Boring Teacher, BT, for short. On paper he sounded great. Early 30s, liked going to museums and artsy things, athletic, tall, applying to get his PhD. But OMG, he is so boooring. I've gone out with him twice now. And twice, after each date, he gives me a handshake. WTF?!? I met another guy at a young asian professionals club I joined (ugh, don't get me started on me joining all these asian groups because of my dad...). I don't know what kind of friendly vibes I was giving out, but he called/texted/emailed non-stop, multiple times a day, for a good 2-almost 3 weeks, until he finally got the hint after I never responded to his calls.
For Christmas, my sister got me a 3 month subscription to Match. So here we go again.....the funny thing is that I forgot to change my zip code at first. So within the first few minutes I got all these responses from SoCal guys. Great! But then when I switched it to my Houston address...zip, zilch. Ah, redneck Texans, not interested in asian girls. Excuse me while I settle in front of the tv and watch The Sound of Music. Mother Superior, is that you I hear calling me?
