Lean, Mean, Dating Machine

I have no idea what's happened to me all of a sudden. I've gone on 3 dates with 3 different guys in the past 6 days. Who knew I had it in me?!? I went out with the larper on Saturday. No, he didn't show me his "sword" but he didn't show me much of a personality either. We walked around the zoo for 2.5 hrs, and he spent every moment spouting out factoids about each reptile, primate, and big cat. Needless to say, zero chemistry. Fortunately, he thought so too and emailed a very nice "let's just be friends."
That same Saturday morning, I found a speed dating event happening that night at a jazz club. I took a deep breath and signed myself up. Carpe diem, right? Everyone says I was brave to go, I think I was just desperate! :) But I ended up having a really great time. 8 out of the 9 guys were well-educated, attractive, interesting men. After the event, you go to this website and click on the guys you were interested in. I got 6 matches! Slight dilemma however: 2 of the guys are friends. We'll call them Real Estate Rocker and Cute Shy Catholic Guy. I wasn't really interested in RER, but he emailed me right away and asked if we could go to lunch whereas CSCG hadn't emailed me. So we went to lunch yesterday, and got along pretty well. Would definitely go out again, but.....CSCG also emailed me! His subject line was "Six minutes wasn't enough." Awwww, I just melted! He said "We must hang out. How about I call you?" That was 2 days ago. I gave him my info but haven't heard from him....I'm worried that since they're friends, RER and CSCG compared notes and CSCG doesn't want to get in between me and RER now...man.....
Today I went on another lunch blind date with a guy an acquaintance arranged. He was a big nerd. Sorry. I love nerds as much as the next girl, but I need nerds with personality! And humor! This one didn't have much.
I also have season tickets to the opera and am part of their young professionals group. The show's tomorrow night, and there's a mixer beforehand, so we'll see if my luck with the menz continues!
Oh, I'm also going out next Saturday with another speed dating guy, Half-Danish Designer. He and I hung out at the jazz club after the speed dating and had a lot in common. But I got an immaturish vibe from him. Sure enough, he's only 23!!! A baby!!!! I'm turning 27 in a few weeks. I don't know about this one....but he's such a cutie and loves Guitar Hero as much as I do. Maybe I'll just have a bit of fun being a cougar.... ;)
I made a New Year's resolution to go on 10 dates with 10 different guys this year. At this rate, I might reach that number by the end of the month!
